Most of the Top 50 In-Demand Occupations Require a Degree

Do you have one? A degree, that is. Most of the top 50 in-demand occupations, identified by the U.S. Departments of Labor and Education on their Career Voyage site, require a college degree.

I'm not necessarily advocating that you choose your next career based on what's trendy. Trendy isn't going to make you happy. But if you're on the fence about a few careers, the statistics just might tip the scale. The number one spot, by the way, goes to registered nurses, and some of those jobs can be won with some college. Physicians and surgeons is number three. Lucky for all of us, you do need a college degree to land that gig.

If you see your dream job there, it's never to late to make it happen. That's my motto lately. It's never too late. I'll be adding more and more content to help you navigate your way back into the classroom, so check back. We'll do it together.
