Why did this pique my interest? The quote and the spa start-up classes fit nicely into a conversation we're having in the Continuing Education Forum about choosing to learn something you love versus something that will further your career. (Besides, I love the logo! The power of marketing!) Most people choose sensibly when it comes to education. I've been known to go out on a limb, and I've always been glad I did.

Leslie's spa courses take care of both at once. If you own, or are starting, a spa business, it's probably because you love it. Taking management courses focused specifically on your field will ensure you run your business well, especially now, when the economy forgives no mistakes.
Tell us why you take continuing education courses, and then join us in the forum.

I tried so hard to get that logo small enough to show you, but alas. I decided to leave a trace of it, lol, to intrigue you. She’s really darling. Check her out on the Spas 2b website.
I’ve always loved taking classes, and I’ll take just about any course that strikes me. Tai chi, beekeeping, field botany, mushroom identification, basketweaving – anything that keeps me challenged and teaches me something knew. I’m hoping to take Italian and earn a pilot’s license someday soon, too. Sometimes, the classes end up molding a career path for me, but I rarely take a class just for the sake of furthering my career.
Gee…I was rather split. Pleasure is induced by satisfying that overly large curiosity bug sitting on my shoulder, lol.
How about all 3 Buisness pleasure and curiousity combined. I think learning is in my blood, (my father was in education,) although I’ve seldom taken a formal approach
I get both! Work pays for required classes but I get to pick which ones I find most interesting!
I’m also taking glass classes just for fun.
I have to say that I voted both, but I rarely have the time to take continuing ed classes. I’m working so much and my kids are still young, 9 and 10 that I barely have time to breathe.
