Baby Boomers Get Small Business Training from the SBA

Thursday October 9, 2008
The U.S. Small Business Administration has a new website devoted to entrepreneurs who are 50+ and looking to start new businesses. It includes advice on everything from considering the possibilities to getting started and remaining profitable. The SBA also provides online classes, the most popular of which are:

  • The Small Business Primer
  • Business Opportunities: A Guide to Winning Federal Contracts
  • Finance Primer: A Guide to SBA's Loan Guaranty Programs
  • How to Prepare a Business Plan

As a 50+ boomer myself, I find that list exciting. It really gets my wheels turning. If you've been thinking and dreaming about starting a new small business, take advantage of all of the resources available to you. There's a lot of help out there.
