Last year, Project Working Moms sent 100 women to school on $4 million worth of online, full-ride scholarships. This year, dads are in on the deal too. Yay!
In partnership with five accredited online schools: Ashford University, Capella University, Everest University, Virginia College, and Ashworth College, Project Working Moms ... and Dads, Too! is in the process of giving away 60 scholarships worth a total of $2 million.
Your deadline for applying is April 30, 2009, so get on it! You must complete a short application at Project Working Moms, write an essay on your education and career goals, and explain how an online program will help you achieve your goals.
Here's a little help with the essay and goals parts:

All the above links are links to get on someone’s list who then calls and wants to know if you wish to attend their college. I’m already committed to a college. I’m looking for ways to pay for it. That’s all I want . . . nothing else.
Sylvia, it looks like the Project Working Moms program has ended. I’m sorry. There are other scholarships out there. I would start with a counselor at your college. They can help you with a FAFSA application, if you haven’t done that already, and they will know what scholarships are available. At some schools, nobody applies for the scholarships and the school is looking for students who could use them. Ask. I was involved in Project Working Mom year’s ago when if first started and it was a big success. I was able to partner with a site that offers scholarships similar to what PWM offered. The scholarships are from the school’s directly but also more general scholarships are available to students. I agree with Deb as we see $1000′s of dollars of scholarships that go unclaimed each month. Knowing how hard and expensive it is to go to college I want to get the word out . For more info please visit Online College Degrees to see available schools and what scholarships they offer.
