Meet Robin. He's a regular in the Continuing Ed. Forum. He writes a blog on a website for Linux questions. German is his native language, and he speaks English fluently. Last November, he learned Russian. On the internet. In a matter of months.

How did he do that?

He found short podcasts, conversations between German and Russian speakers on ordinary things. He found some great grammar sites, online worksheets and dictionaries, YouTube videos. He found that Googling Russian phrases gave him all kinds of resources, including, best of all, real people to converse with.

If you're an ESL student, or a language student of any kind, the internet just might be your very best classroom. Check it out, and come back to let us know what you find. We'd love to hear your story.

Thanks for sharing, Robin!
