Take a Nap, Like Zickbee

Tuesday March 3, 2009
One of my favorite non-traditional student blogs is written by Zickbee. You've heard me mention her here before. Sunday, she blogged about being parked in the library studying for mid-terms, AFTER her nap. You gotta love it.

Naps are really rather powerful little techniques. Technique? Well, tool maybe. Did you know that if you take a 20-minute nap, you access your Alpha brain waves, which can be as refreshing as several hours worth of sleep. A sort of meditation. If you sleep longer than 20 minutes, you reach Delta, and then you're a goner. You'll rise groggy or just can it all and go right back to sleep.

So take cat naps when you need to stay up to study. 20 minutes. That's all it takes.

Thanks again, Zickbee, for another great idea.
