Phase I of the new test is called the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) pilot. It will begin with an online test to determine how well adult learners handle the computer-based format. The study began in January, 2010 and runs through mid-February, 2010.
Test designers will compare results across the 11 states and then with those who have taken the paper test to determine if test scores are similar or not.
An outline of the study design and the pilot timeline will be available later this month. Stay tuned. If you live in one of the 11 states, maybe you can participate. Check it out.
