Your Brain is NOT Sleeping When You Are!

Did you know that if you sleep between learning something new and taking a test on it, you can perform up to 44% better than someone who doesn't sleep in between? That's amazing. Your brain is very busy while you're sleeping. According to Science Daily, it's protecting your memories and making them stronger. The study was authored by Jeffrey Ellenbogen, MD, with Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, so we're talking about real stuff here.

The bottom line? When you're learning something new, get a good night's sleep and it'll all be easier in the morning, especially if you've got a test.

This is advice I definitely need to take.

I find it ironic that I got the highest grade in my class on a midterm exam the day after I had serious trouble getting to sleep and stayed up all night. I’m in an honors class, too.
