So Many Ways to Share Your Learnings by Volunteering

Sunday August 3, 2008
This morning I stumbled upon an article in the St. Petersburg Times, Got some time? Schools need your help. It lists 15 ways to share your wisdom and your time by volunteering in local schools. Applying what you've learned in life is one of the best ways of deepening your understanding.

My article on Teaching What You Learn included some of the ideas on the Times list, but they went on to include assisting in the school office, media center, and library, serving as a student council advisor, and participating in a speaker's bureau.

There are so many ways to learn by teaching, and teaching as a volunteer makes sharing your wisdom that much sweeter. Spread your wisdom. Share the joy. Volunteer.
