Someday Stories Contest - One of Five Finalists Is a Non-Trad Student

Tuesday October 7, 2008
Have you heard of Wells Fargo's Someday Stories contest? Five finalists have already been chosen, but you can still participate by voting for the story you think should win $100,000.

The five finalists were chosen from over 10,000 people who submitted 250-word essays about the dream they want to make come true some day. Two of them, Danny from Provo, UT and Tiffany from Reno, NV chose to change their life paths by going back to school. Danny is 23 and is changing his direction in school as a result of an accident. Tiffany is 35, a true non-traditional student, and dreams of going to medical school.

I find stories like Danny's and Tiffany's very inspiring. Too often we get stuck in ruts because we think we've already gone too far down one path in life. Don't let that happen to you. If you have a dream, any dream, you owe it to yourself and the rest of the world to give it your best shot. Need money to make it happen? Check out contests like Wells Fargo's, research scholarships, get creative. Sometimes we just need to look at a situation with new eyes and let ourselves be inspired.

Do you have a dream? Share your story in the Continuing Education forum. You'll find a lot of encouragement there.
