Study Skills - Managing Holiday Stress When You're in School

Friday November 21, 2008
Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season. It's also the time when due dates on your school calendar seem to come faster and faster. Papers, projects, speeches, exams...parties to plan, gifts to buy, meals to cook...how do you cope with the stress of it all? If you've got kids, add that huge factor to the equation. You simply can't miss the Christmas pageant. It's not negotiable.

Tara Kuther, About.com's guide to graduate school, has some good advice in her article Handle Your Holiday Stress. She walks you through some of the obvious and not-so-obvious signs of stress and suggests what you can do to ease your mind and your body.

Are you irritable? Jittery? Take Tara's advice and take care of yourself. Your holidays will be much more enjoyable, and your grades are sure to be higher.
