Bill Richards emailed me last week about StateUniversity.com, a website designed to help students find the right school, investigate careers, and talk to other students. They feature a pretty comprehensive list of schools that you can sort by state, degree, or area of interest, and they include a ranking system. They also have a blog and access to an encyclopedia.
I found the site a little on the frustrating side. Sorry, Bill. It's not terribly user-friendly, especially the encyclopedia, but if you mess around a little and are patient, you can find some interesting stuff. I suspect it's a webmaster issue and not about the quality of information. Be sure to scroll down on the home page. I didn't do this at first, which was the source of some of my frustration.
